BOS-FI-350

A dedicated tool for a problem the field already knows.

Float-valve seals can flare beyond the bore and resist entry into the float sub. The BOS Float Installer slides over the valve, brings the seals into a controlled diameter, and helps the complete assembly start square.

The four-inch sleeve sits flush with the top of the sub. Internal relief passages reduce rubbing area and provide a path for trapped air, lubricant, and loose debris.

How it works

Contain. Align. Install. Remove.

One simple sleeve controls the seals while the float is introduced into the bore.

01

Inspect and lubricate

Clean the bore and apply a suitable lubricant to the seals and installer.

02

Contain the seals

Slide the installer over the float until the rubber is fully and evenly captured.

03

Start the assembly square

Center the tool in the bore and advance the float using the approved work procedure.

04

Remove and reuse

Once the float is seated, remove the sleeve, clean it, and inspect it before reuse.

Installation demonstration

Watch the tool work before you use it.

The video shows the float entering the installer and the seals being brought into a controlled diameter. Use the written guide with your employer's approved procedure.

  1. Inspect and clean the float-sub bore.
  2. Lubricate the seals and sleeve.
  3. Fully contain the seals inside the installer.
  4. Start the assembly straight and centered.
  5. Seat the float and remove the installer.
